First established during the year 2001, ours is a temporary works company that aims to provide nothing less than a first class service to its customers. Our solutions are cost effective, innovative and above all else, bespoke, making them a highly versatile option. We are particularly accomplished at projects such as structural alterations in city centres, accounting for the specific hazards and challenges the work presents.
Extension plans for a Plymouth city centre pub could transform the area around the Theatre Royale should the plans be green lit. Currently, there are plans for one of the city’s most historic pubs to get a massive renovation. The owners of the Bank Pub, which lies in Old George Street, intend to demolish the old, worn out rear conservatory and have it replaced with a more fashionable two-storey extension. The plan is for it to mimic the new frontage of the Theatre Royale.
According to records from English Heritage, both this structure, along with the Derry’s Clock Tower, are the only builds within the immediate area to survive both the Blitz and post-war developments. The setting of this structure within the post-war territory also does wonders at enhancing its quality and richness.
Impressive blueprints for the Grade II listed building have been drawn up. A series of minor changes are also set to take place, including new access between the bar and kitchen on the ground floor, removing an existing staircase between the third and fourth floors, and an insertion of fire escape stairs between the second and third floors. Whenever structural alterations like this are conducted temporary works may be needed to ensure stability and safety.
